Electric North Jiu Jitsu is a veteran owned martial arts academy that specializes in Jiu-jitsu. The level of training ranges from complete novice practitioners to elite competitors and includes programs geared towards adults and children as young as 6 years old. The academy is a Checkmat affiliated gym under Leo Vieira and Joao Assis. Electric North is owned and led by Black Belt Professor Greg Anderson, who received his Black Belt from World Champion Joao Assis, out of Checkmat Huntington Beach/ Electric Jiu Jitsu. This academy will follow in line with Professor Joao Assis's approach to Jiu Jitsu. Building a strong foundation of discipline, hard work and respect while following a well structured curriculum in conjunction with high intensity training.

Owner & Head Coach

Greg started training Jiu Jitsu in 2005. He received his Black belt from Joao Assis in 2014 after more than 10 years of dedicated training. He has 20+ years of Special Operations and Law Enforcement experience. Greg believes that Jiu Jitsu is for everyone and enjoys teaching students of all backgrounds and capabilities. As the founder of the academy, Greg’s vision is to build a community that is rooted in camaraderie, a strong work ethic and a never quit mentality.

Kids & Wrestling Coach

Craig brings over 20 years of wrestling to the mats and coached at various levels. He has earned his Brown belt in Jiu Jitsu with ENJJ. Craig's focus is combining takedowns and wrestling pressure and making it applicable to Jiu Jitsu! The art of takedowns will not be lost! His approach to kids’ class is to keep it fun while instilling discipline and teaching the foundations of Jiu Jitsu.

Tyler Stanaway.

Youth & Kids Coach

Tyler has been with ENJJ since his first day of Jiu Jitsu.  He has earned his purple belt and become an integral part of the gym.  His dedication and warrior spirit are inspiring our youth & kid’s classes as their coach.  He believes teaching confidence & ability at a young age engrains these traits as they grow into adults. Tyler sets high expectations for the kid’s programs, while creating a fun and engaging environment.

Wil Ngotel.

Competition & Youth Coach

Wil has been practicing the art of Jiu Jitsu since 2012 and has earned his purple belt.  Wil brings a calm and positive island vibe to the mats.  He believes in preserving American values in our youth by instilling respect and good work ethic to achieve their goals. As ENJJ’s youth and competition coach, Wil helps everyone on the mats conquer emotional composure.  Practicing good sportsmanship during wins & losses, being a positive respectful team member and always trying your best are his foundations in coaching.
